Natural ingredients- Water of cosmetics

1. Water of cosmetics

1) Floral Water / Hydrosol
2) Infused water
3) Purified water

Usually, these three things are used.

1-1. Floral Water and Hydrosol

From skin to cream, it is the most widely used ingredient as a water of cosmetics. The low pH is 2.9 to 6.5. It’s usually about 4-6. (Nenoli, 3.8 ~ 4.5. Rose 4.1 ~ 4.4, Rosemary 4.5, Lavender 5.6 ~ 5.9. Orange 5.9 ~ 6.0, etc.) If the pH of the floral water you have is more than 7. You have to throw it away without regret. It is said that storage is less than 15 degrees. Do not keep it frozen. The melted ingredients may be separated if you put them in the freezer.

Efficacy is similar to essential oils. Blending like crucial oils can see a synergy effect. But in floral water, hydrosol is not the same as essential oils because it has melted in the accommodation. Types and efficacy are summarized in different posts. please note.

1-2. Infused water

We are not recommended as a matter of preservation in lotion or cream, but if you care about the preservatives, you can use them as a material for the skin. For preservatives, you can add rosemary extracts (water-soluble) with natural subtitles.

We are convenient to use organic ingredients, herbs, or herbal tea. Some of us are acidic (for example, hibiscus) PH4 is difficult to make skin toner, so it is better to dilute it with purified water. Unlike the pH modification, you can use ‘Arginine’ when you want to raise the pH, and if you want to lower the pH, you can use ‘citric acid’. strong acids and strong Alkalis, respectively, are fast-moving. So don’t put a lot of them at once, and then add a small amount (about 0.2%).

1-3. Purified water

Purification is mainly used to dilute floral water. If you make cosmetics with floral water, you usually get 5 ~ 5.5 pH. So, when making pH for 6 ~ 6.5 children’s cosmetics and atopy cosmetics, it is recommended to dilute the floral water as purified water.

And it’s a dilution, so it’s a word. There are additives with 10-20%usage. But I want to dry this. I made a skin by diluting the green tea extract, and I felt badly steamed. I couldn’t apply it with the skin toner. It is better to use extract only as an additive.

And it’s possible to use purified water as cosmetics water. But if you do this, ‘cosmetics will be a little bad?’ Since most cosmetics occupy water and oil, oil and water control the quality of cosmetics. Rather than being greedy in the additives, I would recommend picking better ingredients in both Water and Oil.
